Drilling refers to creating a smooth hole in Casting. Tapping is the action that creates a thread into the side of the hole. A variety of taps are available to much almost any screw type available. Polishing and buffing are finishing processes for smoothing a work pieces surface using an abrasive and a work wheel. While buffing uses a loose abrasive applied to the work wheel.
The shot blasing machine is a process that helps in cleaning the casting and provides a surface finish that helps in retaining the coating on the casting. Shot blasting also improves mechanical properties of the casting
